Misconceptions of Upcycling

December 9, 2017

Upcycling is the process in which people find new uses for discarded items. This process helps turn items that would’ve been tossed in the trash into new items, reducing the negative impact on the environment. There are misconceptions that upcycling is merely using junk and embellishing it: however, it is an art that can be used to design new and useful products. Here at c.hair.i.tee, we turn the extra fabric from shirts into a variety of items including hair ties, headbands, scrunchies and more. We upcycle to create unique, sustainable items for our customers to share and enjoy.
