4 holiday activity ideas to try at home

Let's face it: this holiday season will look a lot different than previous years. But that doesn't mean you and your family can't still have an enjoyable time!

I have compiled a list of 4 fun holiday activities you and your family can do from the safety and comfort of your own home.

1. Have a Holiday Baking Competition

Try holiday baking with a twist this year!

Divide your family up in two groups, and have a bakeoff! You could even choose to make a day of it by baking in several different categories like "cookies," "pies" and "cupcakes!" Just make sure to leave someone in your family be the (unbiased) judge.

2. Craft Ornaments For The Tree

Have your hand at crafting by creating DIY ornaments for your Christmas tree.

If you have more of a rustic style and want to save money and the environment, try out these Twig Ornaments! All you have to do is collect twigs from your yard and hot glue them together in holiday shapes. Add some embroidery thread for an extra pop of color.

3. Have a Christmas Movie Marathon

Nothing beats a stay in movie night with the family...besides a Christmas-themed one!

Let each member of your family pick out their favorite Christmas movie, whether that be A Christmas Story, Elf or even Frosty the Snowman. Then watch them all in one night! Just imagine what great memories a night this will create.

4. Make Your Own Christmas-Themed Game

Have some laughs with the family by creating your own Christmas game!

One game idea to try is the Saran Wrap Game, where a variety of prizes like lottery tickets, cash and candy are wrapped in a huge ball of saran wrap. While one person is trying to unwrap the prizes, another is rolling two dice. When a double is rolled, the saran wrap ball is passed onto the next person. This goes on until all the prizes are removed from the saran wrap! How fun is that?

Which holiday activity are you going to try with the family? Let us know. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Really enjoyed the behind-the-scenes perspective in this post. Many people see the final portrait but don’t realize how much planning goes into lighting, positioning, and creating a comfortable environment for the subject. The way you explained the setup and the small adjustments that shape the final image helps beginners understand that good studio portraits are usually the result of patience and thoughtful preparation rather than just pressing the shutter. Posts like this are helpful for anyone trying to learn the process step by step. When people write about creative work or share detailed experiences like this, clear storytelling also matters, which is why some students working on personal statements or creative reflections sometimes look for a Premium University Application Essay…

The holiday activity ideas in the article are simple and fun, and I liked how they encourage spending time at home in a creative way. It reminded me of when I had many assignments and felt stressed, so I used pay someone to take my online Management Class to stay on track while still having time to relax. It helped me understand balance better. This shows how managing time well can make both work and life more enjoyable. I really enojying the post.
