My name is Lauren Slakter and I am so excited to be a fashion blogging intern for c.HAIR.i.TEE.
I am currently studying Fashion and Textile Management at NC State University with a minor in Sustainable Materials and Technology. In my free time, I really enjoy working in the costume shop as well as volunteering with Habitat for Humanity on campus!
My passion for protecting the environment sparked during my time as a Girl Scout where I partook in countless camping trips, hikes, and stream clean ups. Since then, my appreciation for nature and the outdoors has developed even more. I also try to incorporate sustainable practices in my everyday activities such as shopping with reusable bags or donating my old clothes. Fashion has always been my outlet for expressing myself in a way that makes me feel more positive and self-confident. I love to dress in many different styles-whether one day that may be all Disney clothes or an 80s inspired outfit!
I am thrilled to be a part of the c.HAIR.i.TEE family because of this company’s values of giving back to the community through eco fashion. C.HAIR.i.TEE’s products are also so unique because of its devotion to using recycled fabrics, making every accessory truly one of a kind. I am very inspired by the work of Julie Bartos, and her mission to make the world a better place through environmental stewardship!
