Spring Style Challenge:
Spring is here and that means many things are in bloom. New weather, new relationships, and for some - a new wardrobe!
Here at c.HAIR.i.TEE®, we encourage slow fashion and sustainable accessorizing.
Sometimes we don't have room in our closets for too many new clothes, or have a budget to stick to. Other times, we're going for a whole new look and have to figure out how to revamp and amp up our style choices.
That's why we challenged some of our interns to show off their c.HAIR.i.TEE® sustainable styling techniques.
Check out Lia's rainbow wardrobe below, and see how she pairs together different looks with different colored c.HAIR.i.TEE® bands, ties, and scrunchies.
Here's what she has to say about her looks:
Much like Guadalupe wrote in our previous blog post, a lot of my essentials are black and grey, so I decided to take Guadalupe's challenge a step further.
As a mixed print enthusiast, I enjoy seeing the different colors and typographic designs on c.HAIR.i.TEE® accessories made from upcycled tee-shirts. Every piece is unique and it makes the gift of sustainability that much more interesting.
So I picked out some of my most colorful, printed pieces and matched them up with c.HAIR.i.TEE® pieces. Enjoy!:
1. "Bye Stacy" Clueless Look
Inspired by yellow plaid skirt suit worn by Elle in the original Clueless movie, this fun, yellow dress is courtesy of Fashion 2 Figure. It's the bright, happy color I needed to freshen my outlook and my closet.
2. "Issa Wrap" Blue Wrap Dress
This knee-length, sassy, teal blue, floral wrap dress shows off my curves and a little skin with the 3/4 length sleeves. I like to wear this with black or brown knee-high boots, so I accessorized with brown and blue c.HAIR.i.TEE® headbands and hair ties-as-wristbands.
The dress is actually part of ThredUp's ReMade line of brand new clothes made for returning/consignment.
3. "Runway" Style ft. Ivy Park Adidas
This look represents my inner scorpion. A maroon H&M crop-top, with orange shorts. Accessories: Matching maroon Ivy Park Ultraboost Adidas, and maroon c.HAIR.i.TEE® headbands (also wearable as wristbands).
Photo tip: The shorts are actually pants by Honey & Lace and I thrifted them from Thredup.
4. "Tug-a-War" Pact Leggings ft. Army Style
The only look that includes no ThredUp pieces, this army green dress goes great with Pact camouflage organic cotton leggings. Style this look with a grey camouflage c.HAIR.i.TEE® scrunchie or a green pixelated c.HAIR.i.TEE® headband.
That's all for now. Thanks for reading. For more information on c.HAIR.i.TEE®, drop us a message in the Contact Us box on the website Contact page, or comment on this photo collage.
Stay safe, stylish and healthy,
Lia T.
